7. 여호와 하나님이 땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고 생기를 그 코에 불어넣으시니 사람이 생령이 되니라
24. 이러므로 남자가 부모를 떠나 그의 아내와 합하여 둘이 한 몸을 이룰지로다
7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

7 Unya mikuha ang Ginoong Dios ug yuta ug nagbuhat siyag tawo gikan niini. Gihuypan niya ang buho sa ilong sa tawo sa gininhawa nga naghatag ug kinabuhi ug ang tawo nakabaton ug kinabuhi.
24 Tungod niini ang lalaki mobiya sa iyang amahan ug inahan ug motipon sa iyang asawa ug mausa sila.

2. 하나님이 그가 하시던 일을 일곱째 날에 마치시니 그가 하시던 모든 일을 그치고 일곱째 날에 안식하시니라
3. 하나님이 그 일곱째 날을 복되게 하사 거룩하게 하셨으니 이는 하나님이 그 창조하시며 만드시던 모든 일을
마치시고 그 날에 안식하셨음이니라
4. 이것이 천지가 창조될 때에 하늘과 땅의 내력이니 여호와 하나님이 땅과 하늘을 만드시던 날에
5. 여호와 하나님이 땅에 비를 내리지 아니하셨고 땅을 갈 사람도 없었으므로 들에는 초목이 아직 없었고 밭에는
채소가 나지 아니하였으며
6. 안개만 땅에서 올라와 온 지면을 적셨더라
7. 여호와 하나님이 땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고 생기를 그 코에 불어넣으시니 사람이 생령이 되니라
8. 여호와 하나님이 동방의 에덴에 동산을 창설하시고 그 지으신 사람을 거기 두시니라
9. 여호와 하나님이 그 땅에서 보기에 아름답고 먹기에 좋은 나무가 나게 하시니 동산 가운데에는 생명 나무와
선악을 알게 하는 나무도 있더라
10. 강이 에덴에서 흘러 나와 동산을 적시고 거기서부터 갈라져 네 근원이 되었으니
11. 첫째의 이름은 비손이라 금이 있는 하윌라 온 땅을 둘렀으며
12. 그 땅의 금은 순금이요 그 곳에는 베델리엄과 호마노도 있으며
13. 둘째 강의 이름은 기혼이라 구스 온 땅을 둘렀고
14. 셋째 강의 이름은 힛데겔이라 앗수르 동쪽으로 흘렀으며 넷째 강은 유브라데더라
15. 여호와 하나님이 그 사람을 이끌어 에덴 동산에 두어 그것을 경작하며 지키게 하시고
16. 여호와 하나님이 그 사람에게 명하여 이르시되 동산 각종 나무의 열매는 네가 임의로 먹되
17. 선악을 알게 하는 나무의 열매는 먹지 말라 네가 먹는 날에는 반드시 죽으리라 하시니라
18. 여호와 하나님이 이르시되 사람이 혼자 사는 것이 좋지 아니하니 내가 그를 위하여 돕는 배필을 지으리라

19. 여호와 하나님이 흙으로 각종 들짐승과 공중의 각종 새를 지으시고 아담이 무엇이라고 부르나 보시려고
것들을 그에게로 이끌어 가시니 아담이 각 생물을 부르는 것이 곧 그 이름이 되었더라
20. 아담이 모든 가축과 공중의 새와 들의 모든 짐승에게 이름을 주니라 아담이 돕는 배필이 없으므로
21. 여호와 하나님이 아담을 깊이 잠들게 하시니 잠들매 그가 그 갈빗대 하나를 취하고 살로 대신 채우시고
22. 여호와 하나님이 아담에게서 취하신 그 갈빗대로 여자를 만드시고 그를 아담에게로 이끌어 오시니
23. 아담이 이르되 이는 내 뼈 중의 뼈요 살 중의 살이라 이것을 남자에게서 취하였은즉 여자라 부르리라 하

Genesis 2
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens--
5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground,
6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground--
7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.)
13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.
14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.
22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called `woman, ' for she was taken out of man."
24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
25 The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

GENESIS 2
1 Nahuman pagbuhat ang langit ug ang yuta ug ang tanang butang nga anaa niini.
2 Sa ikapitong adlaw, nahuman sa Dios ang tanan niyang gibuhat ug mipahulay siya gikan sa tanan niyang gibuhat.
3 Gipanalanginan sa Dios ang ikapitong adlaw ug gibalaan niya kini kay sa maong adlaw natapos niya ang iyang pagpamuhat ug mipahulay siya gikan sa tanan niyang gibuhat.
4 Ingon niini ang pagbuhat sa kalibotan ug sa tanan nga anaa sa langit.
[Ang Tanaman sa Eden]
Sa pagbuhat sa Ginoong Dios sa kalibotan ug sa tanang butang sa kalangitan,
5 wala pay mga tanom nga mitubo ug mga binhi nga miturok sa yuta kay wala pa man niya kini paulani ug wala pa may tawo nga makauma niini.
6 Apan bisag walay ulan, diha nay tubig nga mitungha gikan sa ilalom sa yuta ug mipatubig niini.
7 Unya mikuha ang Ginoong Dios ug yuta ug nagbuhat siyag tawo gikan niini. Gihuypan niya ang buho sa ilong sa tawo sa gininhawa nga naghatag ug kinabuhi ug ang tawo nakabaton ug kinabuhi.
8 Unya naghimo ang Ginoong Dios ug tanaman didto sa Eden, sa silangan ug gibutang niya didto ang tawo nga iyang gibuhat.
9 Gipatubo sa Ginoong Dios ang tanang matang sa mga kahoy nga maanindot ug mamungag mga bunga nga maayong kan-on. Sa taliwala sa tanaman diha ang kahoy nga naghatag ug kinabuhi ug ang kahoy nga naghatag ug kahibalo unsay maayo ug unsay daotan.
10 Gikan sa Eden midagayday ang usa ka suba nga maoy mipatubig sa tanaman, ug sa nasaylo na kini sa tanaman, ang suba nabahin sa upat.
11 Ang unang suba ginganlag Pison ug midagayday kini libot sa kayutaan sa Habila.
12 Makaplagan niining dapita ang lunsayng bulawan ingon man ang mga bato nga bedelyo ug sardonika nga pula.
13 Ang ngalan sa ikaduhang suba Gihon ug midagayday kini libot sa kayutaan sa Cus.
14 Ang ikatulong suba mao ang Tigris nga nagdagayday sa silangan sa Asiria. Ang ikaupat nga suba mao ang Eufrates.
15 Unya gibutang sa Ginoong Dios ang tawo sa tanaman sa Eden aron maoy mag-atiman ug magbantay niini.
16 Giingnan niya ang tawo, “Makahimo ka pagkaon sa mga bunga sa tanang kahoy sa tanaman
17 gawas sa kahoy nga naghatag sa kahibalo unsay maayo ug unsay daotan. Kon mokaon ka niini, nianang adlawa mamatay ka gayod.”
18 Unya miingon ang Ginoong Dios, “Dili maayo nga mag-inusara ang tawo. Himoan ko siyag kauban ug katabang nga angay kaniya.”
19 Busa giumol niya gikan sa yuta ang tanang mananap ug langgam ug gidala niya sila ngadto sa tawo aron iyang nganlan. Bisag unsa ang ingalan sa tawo sa matag usa kanila mao na ang ngalan niini. 20 Busa ginganlan sa tawo ang tanang kahayopan ug ang mga langgam ingon man ang ihalas nga mga mananap. Apan wala siyay nakit-an nga angayng ikauban ug katabang.
21 Unya gipakatulog sa Ginoong Dios ang tawo ug samtang nahinanok siya, gikuhaan siya sa Ginoong Dios ug gusok ug gihulipan niya kinig unod.
22 Ang maong gusok gihimo niya nga usa ka babaye, ug gidala niya ang babaye ngadto sa lalaki.
23 Ug miingon ang lalaki,
“Ania ra gayod ang sama kanako—
bukog gikan sa akong bukog
ug unod gikan sa akong unod.
‘Babaye’ ang ngalan niya
kay gikuha man siya gikan sa lalaki.”
24 Tungod niini ang lalaki mobiya sa iyang amahan ug inahan ug motipon sa iyang asawa ug mausa sila.
25 Silang duha pulos hubo apan wala sila maulaw.
