사도행전 16장
[바울이 디모데를 데리고 가다]
1. 바울이 더베와 루스드라에도 이르매 거기 디모데라 하는 제자가 있으니 그 어머니는 믿는 유대 여자요 아버지는 헬라인이라
2. 디모데는 루스드라와 이고니온에 있는 형제들에게 칭찬 받는 자니
3. 바울이 그를 데리고 떠나고자 할새 그 지역에 있는 유대인으로 말미암아 그를 데려다가 할례를 행하니 이는 그 사람들이 그의 아버지는 헬라인인 줄 다 앎이러라
4. 여러 성으로 다녀 갈 때에 예루살렘에 있는 사도와 장로들이 작정한 규례를 그들에게 주어 지키게 하니
5. 이에 여러 교회가 믿음이 더 굳건해지고 수가 날마다 늘어가니라
[바울이 환상을 보다]
6. 성령이 아시아에서 말씀을 전하지 못하게 하시거늘 그들이 브루기아와 갈라디아 땅으로 다녀가
7. 무시아 앞에 이르러 비두니아로 가고자 애쓰되 예수의 영이 허락하지 아니하시는지라
8. 무시아를 지나 드로아로 내려갔는데
9. 밤에 환상이 바울에게 보이니 마게도냐 사람 하나가 서서 그에게 청하여 이르되 마게도냐로 건너와서 우리를 도우라 하거늘
10. 바울이 그 환상을 보았을 때 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는 하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라
[루디아가 믿다]
11. 우리가 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고
12. 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지방의 첫 성이요 또 로마의 식민지라 이 성에서 수일을 유하다가
13. 안식일에 우리가 기도할 곳이 있을까 하여 문 밖 강가에 나가 거기 앉아서 모인 여자들에게 말하는데
14. 두아디라 시에 있는 자색 옷감 장사로서 하나님을 섬기는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 말을 듣고 있을 때 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 따르게 하신지라
15. 그와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 이르되 만일 나를 주 믿는 자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 머물게 하니라
[바울과 실라가 갇히다]
16. 우리가 기도하는 곳에 가다가 점치는 귀신 들린 여종 하나를 만나니 점으로 그 주인들에게 큰 이익을 주는 자라
17. 그가 바울과 우리를 따라와 소리 질러 이르되 이 사람들은 지극히 높은 하나님의 종으로서 구원의 길을 너희에게 전하는 자라 하며
18. 이같이 여러 날을 하는지라 바울이 심히 괴로워하여 돌이켜 그 귀신에게 이르되 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 내가 네게 명하노니 그에게서 나오라 하니 귀신이 즉시 나오니라
19. 여종의 주인들은 자기 수익의 소망이 끊어진 것을 보고 바울과 실라를 붙잡아 장터로 관리들에게 끌어 갔다가
20. 상관들 앞에 데리고 가서 말하되 이 사람들이 유대인인데 우리 성을 심히 요란하게 하여
21. 로마 사람인 우리가 받지도 못하고 행하지도 못할 풍속을 전한다 하거늘
22. 무리가 일제히 일어나 고발하니 상관들이 옷을 찢어 벗기고 매로 치라 하여
23. 많이 친 후에 옥에 가두고 간수에게 명하여 든든히 지키라 하니
24. 그가 이러한 명령을 받아 그들을 깊은 옥에 가두고 그 발을 차꼬에 든든히 채웠더니
25. 한밤중에 바울과 실라가 기도하고 하나님을 찬송하매 죄수들이 듣더라
26. 이에 갑자기 큰 지진이 나서 옥터가 움직이고 문이 곧 다 열리며 모든 사람의 매인 것이 다 벗어진지라
27. 간수가 자다가 깨어 옥문들이 열린 것을 보고 죄수들이 도망한 줄 생각하고 칼을 빼어 자결하려 하거늘
28. 바울이 크게 소리 질러 이르되 네 몸을 상하지 말라 우리가 다 여기 있노라 하니
29. 간수가 등불을 달라고 하며 뛰어 들어가 무서워 떨며 바울과 실라 앞에 엎드리고
30. 그들을 데리고 나가 이르되 선생들이여 내가 어떻게 하여야 구원을 받으리이까 하거늘
31. 이르되 주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 받으리라 하고
32. 주의 말씀을 그 사람과 그 집에 있는 모든 사람에게 전하더라
33. 그 밤 그 시각에 간수가 그들을 데려다가 그 맞은 자리를 씻어 주고 자기와 그 온 가족이 다 세례를 받은 후
34. 그들을 데리고 자기 집에 올라가서 음식을 차려 주고 그와 온 집안이 하나님을 믿으므로 크게 기뻐하니라
35. 날이 새매 상관들이 부하를 보내어 이 사람들을 놓으라 하니
36. 간수가 그 말대로 바울에게 말하되 상관들이 사람을 보내어 너희를 놓으라 하였으니 이제는 나가서 평안히 가라 하거늘
37. 바울이 이르되 로마 사람인 우리를 죄도 정하지 아니하고 공중 앞에서 때리고 옥에 가두었다가 이제는 가만히 내보내고자 하느냐 아니라 그들이 친히 와서 우리를 데리고 나가야 하리라 한대
38. 부하들이 이 말을 상관들에게 보고하니 그들이 로마 사람이라 하는 말을 듣고 두려워하여
39. 와서 권하여 데리고 나가 그 성에서 떠나기를 청하니
40. 두 사람이 옥에서 나와 루디아의 집에 들어가서 형제들을 만나 보고 위로하고 가니라

ACTS 16
1 He came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was a Jewess and a believer, but whose father was a Greek.
2 The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.
3 Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
4 As they traveled from town to town, they delivered the decisions reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey.
5 So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.
6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.
7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.
9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."
10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
11 From Troas we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day on to Neapolis.
12 From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.
13 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there.
14 One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message.
15 When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house." And she persuaded us.
16 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.
17 This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved."
18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her.
19 When the owners of the slave girl realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities.
20 They brought them before the magistrates and said, "These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar
21 by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice."
22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten.
23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.
24 Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose.
27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.
28 But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!"
29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."
32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.
33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.
34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family.
35 When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: "Release those men."
36 The jailer told Paul, "The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace."
37 But Paul said to the officers: "They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out."
38 The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed.
39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.
40 After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia's house, where they met with the brothers and encouraged them. Then they left.

1 Mipadayon si Pablo sa pagpanaw ngadto sa Derbe ug sa Listra. Didto may nagpuyo nga usa ka tinun-an nga ginganlag Timoteo. Ang iyang inahan usa ka magtutuo nga Judio apan ang iyang amahan Grego.
2 Gidayeg si Timoteo sa tanang kaigsoonan sa Listra ug sa Iconio.
3 Buot ni Pablo nga pakuyogon kaniya si Timoteo busa gituli niya si Timoteo. Gibuhat niya kini kay ang tanang Judio nga nagpuyo didto nahibalo man nga Grego ang amahan ni Timoteo.
4 Sa ilang pag-agi sa mga kalungsoran ilang gitugyan ngadto sa mga magtutuo ang mga lagda nga gikauyonan sa mga apostoles ug sa mga kadagkoan sa simbahan didto sa Jerusalem ug gipahimangnoan sila sa pagtuman niini.

[Ang Panan-awon ni Pablo didto sa Troas]
6 Unya milatas sila sa kayutaan sa Frigia ug sa Galacia apan ang Espiritu Santo wala motugot kanila pagwali sa mensahe didto sa lalawigan sa Asia.
7 Pag-abot nila sa utlanan sa Misia, moadto unta sila sa lalawigan sa Bitinia apan gidid-an sila sa Espiritu ni Jesus. 8Busa milatas sila sa Misia ug mipadayon ngadto sa Troas.

14 Usa niadtong namati kanamo mao si Lydia nga taga-Tiatira nga namaligyag panapton nga dagtom-pula. Mahadlokon siya sa Dios ug ang Ginoo nag-abli sa iyang kasingkasing aron sa pagdawat sa mensahe ni Pablo. 15 Gibunyagan siya ug ang tibuok niyang panimalay. Unya iya kaming gidapit, “Diri kamo abot sa akong balay kon giisip ninyo ako nga tinuod nga magtutuo sa Ginoo.” Ug wala gayod siya pabalibad.
[Ang Pagkapriso ni Pablo ug ni Silas]
16 Usa ka adlaw niana, samtang nagpaingon kami sa dapit nga ampoanan, gisugat kamig usa ka ulipong babaye nga gitugahan sa yawa ug gahom sa pagtagna sa umaabot. Tungod sa iyang pagpanagna sa kapalaran sa mga tawo, nakasapi pag-ayo ang iyang mga agalon.
17 Misunod siya kang Pablo ug kanamo nga nagsinggit, “Kining mga tawhana mga sulugoon sa Labing Halangdon nga Dios! Nagsangyaw sila kaninyo sa mensahe sa kaluwasan.”
18 Iya kining gibuhat sulod sa daghang mga adlaw hangtod nga gisamokan si Pablo ug milingi kaniya ug giingnan ang espiritu, “Sa ngalan ni Jesu-Cristo gula gikan kaniya!” Ug migula dayon ang espiritu.
19 Sa diha nga ang mga agalon sa babaye nakaamgo nga dili na sila makasapi, gidakop nila si Pablo ug si Silas ug gidala ngadto sa hukmanan.
20 Unya sa didto na sila sa atubangan sa mga maghuhukom nga Romanhon, ang mga agalon sa babaye miingon, “Kining mga tawhana mga Judio ug nagsamok-samok sila sa atong siyudad.
21 Nanudlo silag mga pagtulon-an nga supak sa atong balaod ug gidid-an kitang mga Romanhon sa pagsunod niini.”
22 Miapil ang mga tawo sa pagdagmal kanila ug gigisi sa mga opisyal ang mga bisti ni Pablo ug ni Silas ug misugo nga bunalan sila.
23 Human sila bunali pag-ayo, gibilanggo sila ug gisugo ang guwardiya nga kandadohan pag-ayo ang bilanggoan.

26 Unya sa kalit milinog ug kusog nga nakatay-og pag-ayo bisan sa pasukaranan sa bilanggoan ug nangaabli ang tanang pultahan ug nangatangtang ang mga kadena sa tanang binilanggo.
27 Nahigmata ang tinugyanan sa bilanggoan ug sa pagkakita niya nga nangaabli na ang mga pultahan, gipakaingon niyag nanglayas ang tanang binilanggo. Busa gilanit niya ang iyang espada aron maghikog unta.
28 Apan misinggit si Pablo, “Ayaw paghikog! Ania ra kaming tanan!”
29 Busa ang tinugyanan sa karsel nangayog suga unya misulod siya nga nagdali ug miluhod nga nagkurog sa tiilan ni Pablo ug ni Silas.
30 Unya gipagawas niya sila ug gipangutana, “Sir, unsa may akong buhaton aron ako maluwas?”
31 Sila mitubag, “Saligi ang Ginoong Jesus, ug maluwas ka lakip ang imong panimalay.” 32 Unya siya ug ang tanang sakop sa iyang panimalay giwalihan nila sa pulong sa Dios.
33 Niadtong taknaa sa kagabhion gihugasan sa tinugyanan sa bilanggoan ang ilang mga samad ug gibunyagan dayon siya ug ang iyang panimalay.
34 Unya gidala niya si Pablo ug si Silas sa iyang balay ug gipakaon. Nalipay siya ug ang iyang panimalay kay siya mituo na man sa Dios.
35 Sa pagkabuntag ang mga maghuhukom nga Romanhon nagsugo sa mga opisyal sa kapulisan nga buhian si Pablo ug si Silas.
36 Busa gipahibalo sa tinugyanan sa bilanggoan si Pablo ug si Silas nga nag-ingon: “Gipabuhian na kamo sa mga maghuhukom ug lakaw kamo uban ang kalinaw.”
37 Apan miingon si Pablo ngadto sa mga pangulo, “Gipabunalan nila kami sa atubangan sa mga tawo bisag kami walay sala ug mga Romanhong lungsoranon pa gayod! Unya ila pa gayod kaming gipabilanggo. Ug karon buhian lang kami nila sa tago? Dili kana mahimo! Kinahanglan nga sila gayong mga Romanhong maghuhukom ang moanhi dinhi ug maoy mopagula kanamo.”
38 Gitaho kini sa mga pangulo sa kapulisan ngadto sa mga maghuhukom ug sa pagkadungog nila nga sila diay si Pablo ug si Silas mga Romanhon nga lungsoranon, nangahadlok sila.
39 Busa nangadto sila ug nangayog pasaylo kanila unya ilang gipagula sila sa bilanggoan ug gihangyo sa pagbiya sa siyudad.
40 Busa nanggula si Pablo ug si Silas sa bilanggoan ug nangadto sa balay ni Lydia. Gikakita nila didto ang mga kaigsoonan ug ilang gidasig sila ug unya namiya si Pablo ug si Silas.
